Cutting out the popcorn

The ceiling ,it is an element not to be over looked.

It adds so much texture and character , although I did have to scrape off the popcorn texture , it was more than worth the effort to get this.

A pile of this can turn into a beautiful paneled or beadboard ceiling.

I added this salvaged bracket found at Legacy Vintage Buildings Materials shop in Cobourg Ontario to support the beam I created to separate the kitchen ceiling from the family room ceiling which created a workable area to add this treatment to .

Marking the beams, and getting started.

You will find all the detailed info on how to install your own beadboard ceiling , here , here & here.

Be careful you will want it everywhere .
