New addition

Isn't it purdy ?
It came in a plain brown box. That is how IKEA rolls , this is an Ektorp Jenny Lund style chair with white slipcover.

Moe checking it out.

It's covered in a lovely unbleached cotton.

I need to do a little ironing , I know.

I love it , I hope my husband likes it too , because we really didn't discuss it .

So what has happened to the old wing chair? I can see it didn't go, but I have been fantasising about a wing chair slipcovered in 1" red gingham...

Okay... After squinting myself into a headache... I finally REALIZED what the name on the chair said... and it's from IKEA! LOL.

I TOTALLY need to save up for two of these for my family room!
Thanks for sharing the pictures!

You are going to LOVE your new chair! I have one. I think it's the same, mine is an ektorp also but is the jenny lund different? Maybe, hard to tell in the picture. What I love the most is how the white is the cheapest!!!!! I'm saving for another one. The last time I went they had the slipcovers on sale and I bought another (in case) ya never know! I have to ask where your ottomen is from? I have tried to read all your posts but I must have missed that one if you did it. Love it and your home. Your doing a beautiful job!!! <3

dleahy23,
the ottoman is one I made out of an old second hand coffee table , I covered it with foam and upholstered it , then I made the slipcover for it . http://ckinteriors.blogspot.com/2009/07/makeovers.html

I'm 2 1/2 hours away from the Chicago Ikea! I love that store! A friend and I are planning a roadtrip in the late summer to there! (and to this great discount tile place so that I can get subway tiles for my kitchen! I'm SO excited!)

Looks so comfy. I know you are happy with your Ikea sofa so hopefully this will treat you and the family well to. I like the shorter stature of it compared to the wing chair.

I like it....probably because I have the white ecktorp furniture as well, and I love it. I also, have those monogramed pillows, aren't they the cutest!
Looks great!
