Trying something new

I recently ordered these Disc plate hangers , I thought they were such a great idea , however patience is required, they are easy to use , just wet the back and use your fingers to mix the glue a little wait 5 minutes for the glue to get tacky , apply and wait over night for the glue to set. You can find Disc hangers at www.dischangers.com I like them because you don't have all those little hanger clips and sometimes just putting a plate in one of those spring loaded hangers can be dangerous , do you use plates to decorate ?, I have been using them for as long as I have been decorating .
I have been moving things around , I get bored you know ... what I would really love in here
is a lantern , I want to tone down the feminine look a little , I think it is getting s little too girly... and its bothering me .
I have moved some corbels and shelf into the dining room for now, I added some more plates for a new look .

I think I am bored and ready to change the wall color in here ...more on that later.

I think I am tiring of looking at a lot of the same things for too long ...time for change , maybe its just this time of year, too much time stuck inside.
I am really longing for spring , how about you , are you in a deep freeze too ? , I know I'm not alone.

I think it is the time of year. I can barely sit still at night ... I think I should be doing something. But I don't know what project to tackle. I really want to panel the family room ... but the thought of all the work is making me hesitate. Knowing me, I decide to go ahead a midnight one night!!!

My goodness I love your rooms! First off thanks for the tip on the plate discs, I do use plates for decorating everywhere in my home. I collect china and seem to display them everywhere, I'm planning a plate post soon. I'm in love with your chair slips, how amazing are those? Did you make them? They're perfectly perfect, you're an awesome designer, xoxo tami

I used to decorate with plates, but haven't done so since re-doing from Victorian to Beachy. Your rooms are totally gorgeous and I wouldn't change a thing. I do know what you mean about the winter blahs, though. I'm wanting to re-do stuff, too. Here's to an early spring!!

Hi Chris! I love your home. Such cool, soothing colors. I got to your blog through Two Story Cottage. I have a new blog at www.onsuttonplace.blogspot.com. I'd love for you to take a look. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I think I need to put stripes on one of my walls!

Hi Christie, I love the plates and shelf in the dining room. I had seen these discs before but wondered if they were good. I have never really used plates in my decor but it is something I would like to start using.
We are just about finished our "move in" redecorate of the living room and kitchen and I'm ready to change it already, how pathetic is that!

I'm longing for spring right now too! Your room is so pretty (loved the striped walls), and I think replacing the chandy with a lantern is a good idea.

What neat hangers! I hate the old springy kind and my plates never lay flat against the wall when using them. I think your room is just beautiful the way it is. But I understand wanting the change. I went to Home Depot last night and came home with a purse full of paint chips. I want to brighten everything up! Now!

Ugh, we are definitely ready for the yucky weather to subside. I was to throw open the windows!

I love how everything in your home is just the perfect shade, everything coordinates...

Hi Chris,
I love the feature about your home in Women's Day. I just had to check out your blog. Your home is lovely. I love your colors.
I do use plates in and around my home for decorating. I put sticky backed felt on small plates and use them for coasters here and there. I also use plates in my yard. I hang them from the fence and tuck them into flowerbeds and flower pots. I think I need to get some of those plate hanging discs.
