Looking for distractions

I have been eyeing these candle holders for a couple of months , I figured if they were still around on my last shopping outing that was a sign that they were meant for me to buy , especially since they were marked down 50% .... I love them so much, I got two , should have got three .

I also scored on this basket , with boxing day mark downs it was a mere $6.00 , it is so pretty , it is solely for the purpose of keeping the Wii remotes organized.

I also snagged this little round metal basket , it has come in handy for spare socks .

Just a pretty pile of pillows and blankets in happy colors.

Ewww , look at the photo I found here , the kids had put the dog up on the island , I guess I will go sterilize the island now !

thanks you for all the support and well wishes , I am feeling overwhelmed with stress , I normally can put on a good front , but this was her third heart attack in 6 years , and i am worried about my brother's health , as well as the health of his wife and unborn baby , it all just seems to pile up sometimes, I think this is what lead to the heart attack plus a few other stresses mom is dealing with , it just gets to be too much , how do you handle stress ?, I talk it out , its tough to let things go when you really care about your loved ones.....so far I have tried hi-liting my hair , cleaning usually helps , some crying , maybe a little retail therapy is in order , I have NEVER done that before, I am looking for fuzzy tinkerbell pj pants , that's about it ....I'll be fine.

Send Love to My MOM , please

This is my Mom , I knew she was feeling stress lately , we share these kinds of things with each other, I worry about her and her stress levels , it really catches up with her . See she has suffered a minor heart attack years ago , she then suffered a more serious heart attack 4 years back , things have been going well , she is happily married to a wonderful partner , we actually share the same wedding date.
Today I got the news she has again suffered another heart attack , I think after all the stresses catching up with her and the Christmas season and all the rich foods and drink a bad combination for my mom . I will be going to see her tonight , I wanted to let her rest today and get stabilized and get her pain under control , it is awful to see your mom in such pain .
Tomorrow she will have an angiogram to see if there is a blockage and get some answers as to the severity of this event , I hope that she will once again walk away without any damage.


I have started a Facebook group called Prayers for Hella {that is her name its German } if you feel drawn please feel free to drop on by and leave a comment or a wish for my Mom I know it would raise her spirits to know good thoughts or prayers are being sent her way.

I am wishing her favourable test results , smooth procedure and a speedy recovery.

I found season 3 of Flipping Out , see we don't get the US version of Bravo , we get the Canadian version it is missing shows like Flipping out , I love this show , I love jeff and all of his craziness , I am convinced he is the inner me , I of course can contain this but her just lets it all hang out , a true straight shooter , I don't think I could work for him but I love him , and Ryan , he is just pure sanity, and he is brilliant , I could work for or with him any day . But Zoila , I need me a Zoila , she is fabulous , isn't she ? I love her sense of humour and I think she is a real "doll" , my life would be so much easier with Zoila living here.
I have my PVR set and will enjoy seeing all the new episodes i have missed especially after watching a marathon this past weekend , can't get enough , so if you need me you may just find me curled up watching all my episodes of Tori and Dean and then Flipping Out , did you know Tori KNOWS Jeff ...in "real" life.

I was watching a marathon of the Atlanta Housewives over the holidays and I coveted the island covered in beadboard that one of the ladies had in her home, and I always love beadboard kitchen islands and since our island was in need of some TLC , mostly painting , I thought it was the perfect time to spruce it up . Although I like the applied moulding look I will admit it does collect dust , and looks a little unsavoury over time especially with kids and dogs wearing things out over a short amount of time.
Since I had a package of v-groove in the garage I thought there was nothing standing in my way , I removed the moulding and started over by adding the v-groove paneling , I also plan to remove the rest of the moulding where the stools are and will also clad that in v-groove as well then I will give it all a fresh coat of paint , there is nothing like a fresh coat of paint , is there?
