Summer in review

At first when I was thinking back to this summer I thought we hadn't done a whole lot, nor had I made or changed a lot around the house , well after looking back I think we have accomplished a good deal and had some real fun too . This was how our summer started , the happy dance of the last day of school , summer arrived early this year , warm and hot temperatures and little rain blessed our province starting in May and lasting until yesterday a great summer to have a pool.

I came up with a real gem , slipcovering lampshades , I should make a few more slips ...

I built some shutters to add character to the back deck , out of left over wood .

I added trim to the posts in the front of the house , and flowers grew and thrived , my thumb may just be turning green after all .

The kids embraced silly bandz...lot's of silly bandz..

I walked with my family and for my brother Brad ,in the middle, for Muscular dystrophy , a great cause ...

We visited the local theme park twice this year...Wonderland , tried some new rides and some old stand by's.

Went on a wonderful girls trip thanks to my mother in law , who treated us to shopping and even a long desired stay at the Great wolf Lodge...with a water park indoors , so fun for all of us.

We tried our hand at path building ... this project is still coming along...

We added the pergola to the deck and I stained the fence black , and threw a couple of fun parties for the girl's birthdays ...

Had some fun with water balloons...

Can't forget the great photo shoot of 2010...what a blast

And a couple of makeovers too ....for resale I love that too..
Fall is looking full , lots of cakes and cupcakes booked , a really exciting front hall reno I will be doing for a client , a consultation here and there , a tonsillectomy coming mid October , Todd's show will hopefully continue to air and build a following , hopefully some more furniture makeovers for resale , I am open to what may come , and looking forward to the future and hoping my businesses will grow allowing me to be home for my girls while doing what I love...
One more day and the kids will be back to school , a fresh start for us all...
