I love it so I can imagine how you guys feel. You family must be so proud of all your hard work.
Seeing it side be side tis hard to believe that it's the same place.
Now tell me, What can't a woman do?! :)

Hi Chris,
What you have done is absolutely stunning! You are very talented! I am a designer myself and have worked on many kitchen projects myself. I do have one thought for you to consider...I see that on one side of the windows in kitchen you have open shelves. Is there a reason why you didn't flank the windows on both sides with the shelves? I think it would just complete the look and make it look symmetrical and higher end if you did. I can't wait to see how this whole house comes together! Keep up your steller work! Sue

Hi Chris! I love watching the progress of this kitchen!! You do incredible work! I am a designer myself and have worked on many kitchen projects. You have great vision and skill my lady! Here's something to consider...is there a reason why you didn't flank both sides of the windows with the open shelves? It just seems that would give a finished more high end look there. I can't wait to see how your whole house comes together! What a blessing to have the opportunity you have with it! Enjoy!!

Sue installing shelves on on the left of the window would not work , they wouldn't be the same size and they would create a strange dead space on the cabinet wall , we like the interest that having the shelves on one side adds. You can have too much open shelving , this kitchen needs no more.

Love your kitchen makeover! I have been redoing mine and reading your blog for inspiration. Your kitchen looks like it cost a million bucks!

LOVE your kitchen makeover...wow....how long did the whole process take? and did you do all the renovation on your own or you hired a contractor?

i have so many questions for you..oh my gosh...your stylish resembles mine very much! for your staircase...did you just use regular wall paint or you used some sort of stain to get the dark wood color?

how2home , I did not hire a contractor to improve my kitchen , I did hire installers for many of the appliances like for the gas line , water line , plumbing and electrical , other than that it was done by me , the floors were installed by my husband and I . I stained the floors with a dark oil based stain . It took me 11 weeks working most days and for a full work day.
