Searching for answers

We are going to be back at the hospital for Sophie to get some more testing done , today it will be an MRI , she is a bit nervous , I would expect her to be a bit nervous, I would be too , anything unknown is somewhat unsettling , we looked at a video and prepared her for loud noise but no pain .
I am really hoping that we come away finding nothing , please keep her in your thoughts.
She is a real trooper , she said she would rather have blood drawn again rather than an MRI , she also has a CT scan in a couple of weeks , but that should be it and we should have the answers .
I am happy to have access to excellent government run health care here in Canada , we are very lucky to have it .

Best of luck to you and little Sophie. We are going through some scary testing here as well but they will be tomorrow. Just looking forward to having some answers as I am sure you are too. Will say a prayer for Sophie!!

Hello~
I'm new to your blog and don't know the history of what you are looking for with Sophie. But I believe that we have a God that knows every detail, now and in the future - And He cares for us! I will pray that Sophie will be calm and have peace about having the MRI (ensure her that they're really not bad - I had one, and the hardest part was staying still. I actually fell asleep!)
Be blessed today!

I hope the tests turn out the way you want them to. I wish (for us in the U.S.) you would do a post about your government run healthcare. Maybe focus on the pros and cons. I would love to know more about it because President Obama is trying to reform our healthcare and many people are skeptical of a government run healthcare system. Obviously you're happy with it and that is good to hear.

Praying for your little sweetie. Please let her know that my husband just had an MRI last week as well as a CT scan. He received a Heart Transplant a few years ago and these are routine tests for him. Tell her to pretend she is in a tanning bed and just relax and close her eyes.
Hope the results are favourable!! Yes, the government health care system in Canada is fantastic, for us at least!!
Take care Sophie!

Hey Chris....

I hope your little sweetheart will be fine...I will definitely say a prayer for her :)

I am glad your healthcare system works for you, I have been doing a bit of research because it may come our way, I don't think it will work for us, we have too many people and the cost would be too great. They tried it in Hawaii it lasted 7 months, in Massachusetts it takes you 50 days to see a specialist when it used to be 20 and the state is running in the red...something needs to be done but I don't think the Govt. should get involved down here !!!

Prayers for Sophie,
Kathy :)

ps I've had a couple pls tell her not to worry about it, it really is not bad at all. She is far more brave than me, I HATE needles :(

Hi Chris! Sorry to hear Sophie has to have more tests done :( She will be in my prayers and I'm sure my little Sophie will say one for her too. A great idea would be to take a night mask with you if she's afraid of small spaces. That is really the worst of it. The places I've been (I've had three) all let me listen to the radio either through ear phones or just playing on speakers. It really helped to pass the time!

Best Wishes,
Rachel

Wishing and praying for all the best and for some good answers. I've had a few MRI's and I like the tanning bed comment above.

Chris: Sophie and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is so hard for the entire family when a family member is going through something. I wish Sophie the best outcome.

We'll be praying for Sophie. :) There's nothing more scary than unknown health problems. Remember that when we are weak, He is strong. I pray that Sophie will stay strong and be at peace during this process.

You are so right about the healthcare. I'm a Canadian living in the U.S. now and have been for the past 3 years and have zero healthcare here. So far it has worked out well but I know having children will likely be expensive. I hope to move back to Toronto, I SO miss it. I do hope the healthcare changes here-it's far too expensive.
